Beauty comes in all shades and sizes and this is reflected at BLACK EXPO by the Second Annual Brown Sugar Babies Contest. Come and celebrate the beauty and potential of African American children as the little ones get their chance to shine on Saturday, February 28, 2009. The Brown Sugar Babies Contest finals are set to begin in Exhibit Hall C at 12 noon.

Whether you’re looking for Southern classics like barbecue chicken and peach cobbler or you’re trying be more health conscious, the Food Pavilion offers something for everyone.

The lines may be long but it’ll be worth the wait as this year’s featured food vendors include Nature’s Special Sweets, Minnie’s Cornbread, Healthy Eats and G Dubbs Barbecue.

The Food Pavilion, centrally located in the middle of main Exhibit Hall D will be open for the duration of Black Expo ’09.

Sacramento Regional Transit (RT) will drive home its commitment to the city’s African American community with its continued presence at Black Expo.

RT will park its special bus inside the Sacramento Convention Center as part of the Black Expo's Transportation, Travel & Hospitality Pavilion.
