Leonard Robinson to Moderate Going Green Forum at Expo

“Tapping our Green Power" is the theme for the 2010 Capital City BLACK EXPO. The theme is intended to enlighten, inform and educate the Black community about the need for conserving energy, economic opportunities linked with the Green economy and the billions of dollars in funds targeting green economy growth.

One of the highlights of this year’s BLACK EXPO will be special forum on “going green.” Moderating the Forum is Leonard Robinson. Robinson, who is affectionately known as “Envirobro,” serves as Chief Deputy Director of the California Department of Toxic Substances Control.

The forum will give EXPO guests an opportunity to discuss ways that they can make their lives more green-friendly with industry experts. Representatives from companies such as SMUD, PG&E and Wells Fargo will be on hand to participate in the discussion. The forum will be held Saturday, February 20 at 2:00 p.m. in room 103.

Robinson hosts a weekly one-hour radio program called "Going Green With Envirobro." The show airs on KDEE 97.7 FM in Sacramento and the station is a volunteer-powered, listener-supported station owned and operated by the California Black Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
