Black Expo '08
The California Capitol City BLACK EXPO returns to the Sacramento Convention Center March 28th, 29th & 30th, 2008.
Last years three-day showcase welcomed more than 51,000 guests and visitors and this year will be even bigger, as the Observer celebrates 45 years of service to the Sacramento Community.
Women of Inspiration
Their work blazed a path for
others to follow, with their heads held just as high. Their commitment serves
as a lesson for current and future generations. Five of Sacramento's most
distinguished women will take center stage at this year's Capital City Black
Expo, to receive much deserved recognition at the 2008 "Women of Inspiration
Awards."
30 UNDER 30
The Observer Media Group will honor the achievements
and leadership skills of 30 African American men and women, in the Sacramento region, under
the age of 30 years old. Dr. Michael Eric Dyson will address the wildly popular
30 under 30 breakfast.

Concert kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
Gospel Sunday
Desmond Pringle, known affectionately as the
"Gospel Balladeer" for his passionate delivery of Gospel ballads,
will be featured at the Black Expo's
Gospel Sunday. This free event will take place at 3 p.m. in the Convention
Center.
